Testimonial of the Month:
While looking for a better back stop material or wall system to use for our shooting wall at the Janesville Bowmen, I looked into many different materials and commercial back stops including the Pacific Bow Butts at www.pacificbowbutts.com/. After researching the products that Pacific Bow Butts makes, comparing it to the others I found, and then having lengthy conversations with Karl, the owner of the company, our club decided to give the Pacific Bow Butts a try. We bought our Big Butts in 2005 for our 2005/2006 indoor season. The claims that the company made about cost, stopping power, durability, maintenance, arrow deflection, and arrow removal had me skeptical to say the least. However, if the claims were substantiated, then we would be money ahead to install these products in our indoor and outdoor ranges in place of the sound board and excelsior bales that we were using. We put our new wall in and started using it immediately. After our first year of shooting into this back stop system all we could say was WOW!!!!! Someone has finally put together a back stop that actually STOPS any arrow we shot. Even off of our fastest bows. Also, with carbon arrows becoming more popular with the shooters at our club, burning on, and arrows sticking into the back stop, was a major concern of ours, yet when we pulled our arrows from these Bow Butts, no one had any material stuck (burned on) to their arrows unless they had residue from our old wall still left over on their shafts. A quick cleaning with some fine steel wool, and that issue completely disappeared. Our arrows also went into the Butts much straighter than they did into our old wall, and pulled out easily with a simple two hand push/pull removal method.
By following a simple yearly rotation of 27 Butts, (9 across and stacked 3 high) and changing the spot on which we place the target faces by only an inch or two in any direction, we were able to get 4 + years service from this back stop system. Our cost for replacing our wall was less than we paid for the sound board we used to use, based on a years of service comparison. The maintenance of the wall was cut by around 90% giving us more time and money to focus on the other important things it takes to keep a club running. By our estimates, and keeping them on the conservative side, we believe that these back stops absorbed approximately 650,000 to 750,000 shots before having any arrows pass through them in the time we had them in our range, and only when shot from one of the fastest 6 bows at our club. (all shooting 300 or more F.P.S.) This product has simply been the best we've found on the market to date for cost, durability, performance, and ease of maintenance. In terms of customer service, our experience has been that Pacific Bow Butts is second to NO ONE! Any time we had a question, we could call or e-mail Karl to get the answer we needed. He takes his customers seriously and to heart, by doing what it takes to keep them satisfied. These are the reasons that we have again ordered the Pacific Bow Butts this year for our indoor range, and why we will stay with Karl and his products for many, many, years to come. I would think by that time, and with his innovative way of thinking, he'll have his products even better than we can imagine. Why anyone would use any other product is simply a mystery to us. If you're looking into getting a long lasting and trouble free back stop system for your club or yourself, indoor or outdoor, then in my humble opinion, your search has just ended. Give Karl and his product a chance to prove themselves to you, and I believe that you too will be writing the praises of Pacific Bow Butts.
Our club is located in south central Wisconsin, and we were able to order our new Pacific Bow Butts from Northern Plains States Distributers which is run by Randy and Rachel Soleta, located in Edgerton, MN. Randy is a direct distributer for Pacific Bow Butts, and helped us to get our order placed, and promptly delivered right to our clubs front door. This cut our waiting time by 2/3's of what it took us to get our first order back in 2005. In dealing with Randy or Rachel we found them to be courteous and competent in answering any of our questions, taking our order, and getting it delivered, in a timely and professional manor. Both are personable and good natured, friendly people, who work very closley with Karl, and will be more than happy to take your order and get you your new Pacific Bow Butts a.s.a.p. Don't hessitate to call them. You'll be glad you did. Thank you Karl for a GREAT product line.
Sincerely,
