Personal Archery Targets:
as a new shop owner, I wanted something that would look good in my shop and stand up to the demands of modern, high performance bows. the pacific bow butts do just that. the bow butts look great and work even better. they have held up to the pre-season hunting abuse, and the large diameter target arrows shot in the indoor leagues. the bales are worth every penny. the pacific bow butts are the best backstop i have used. hope you had a good holiday season

Karl,
Several weeks ago, my father purchased
a Great Lakes 165lb draw crossbow. We immediately realized we needed
a quality target. After receiving the pacific crossbow target we
began shooting and realized that bolt removal was easy as promised,
and target convenience was also what we expected. We look forward
to gathering as a family every chance we get to shoot the crossbow
and are pleased every time we use it. Thank you very much.

I'm very pleased with the target.
Since I just purchased it I haven't shot it that much. I would say
under 300-400 shots including broadheads. It seems the more I shoot
it the better it gets. I know that sounds strange but it really
stops the broadheads even though you keep shooting the same spot.
I have used layered foam targets and you can't continue shooting
the same spot in those. As far as pass thru's go, the broadheads
are penetrating just past the back of the target. I have found the
easiest way to retrieve them is just unscrew the heads and withdraw
the arrow if you have a complete pass thru. If it's close to the
back just push them on through and unscrew them. Careful not to
break a carbon arrow while pushing! My set up is a Matthews Switchback
set to 70 lbs. Arrows are the old Easton Axis with hidden inserts.
Arrow lengths are 23 1/4 inch with 3 blade 100g fixed broadheads
(Hematics and Muzzy) By the way, these two brands shoot straight.
I keep the target covered with a double folded small tarp and it
does fine. Just uncover it and you're ready to shoot. I do recommend
keeping it off the ground and also placing a small stop board along
the base so you can put your knee against it to pull arrows for
the first few hundred shots. It gives you leverage. As a side note,
the target has a very nice sound when you hit it! It's heavy and
shoot last a long time.
Good luck to all.

"I purchased my
Pacific Bow Butt in Jan. 2005. I've had other archery targets, but
shot them out in just a few weeks. My Pacific Bow Butt is still
holding my arrows like the first time I shot into it! It has been
outside the whole time I've had it and is showing no adverse effects
from the weather!
My expectations are that it will last me for many years to come!"

"I have two of your range
targets and they are by far the best targets we have ever had.
We have had these targets about a year and a half and they are shot
just about every day. I would estimate that they have had at least
80,000 shots or more, and are still the best targets we have. I
think at the rate we are going we can probably shoot these targets
for at least another 4 or 5 years. There are 6 of us who shoot the
3-D tour, and all of us hunt any time we can, so someone is always
sighting in and tuning up. I also like the fact that they are biodegradable
and I don’t have little chunks of white foam all over my yard.
This target is easy to pull, and stops every arrow, shot with any
bow, without any problem what so ever. Another thing I really like
about this target is the fact that I can shoot field tips or broadheads.
We have tried about every target on the market and none of them
have lasted more than a season with all our friends and us shooting
and getting ready for the 3-D season and hunting. Everyone in our
bunch has really been impressed with the durability and overall
performance of this target. Thanks you for a great target that is
durable, affordable, and does not harm the environment in any manner."

"Dear Karl,
Thanks for making an excellent product that will last for years.
I've been shooting indoor archery in my basement for two
years and continue to blast through the block and normal bag targets.
Your target after months of use is like new and looks like it will
last for years. I can shoot two NFAA targets top and bottom on the
sport butt with no problem. I've really started practicing more
and shooting better because I don't have any worries about passing
through into cement with my target arrows. This is the best
target bar-none and I've used them all!!! "
Thanks

"Karl,
I just wanted to send you an e-mail about the Spot Butt 40 I purchased
a few months ago. It has been working so well I threw a
plug in over at Mathew's archery forum this evening. Someone
was looking for advice on a new target. I have my XT maxed out now,
scale says 74lbs, and even with the skinny AXIS 400 arrows they
still pull out nice and easy where I have it broke in well. Haven't
run it through the meter to know fps for certain. All my buddies
who have seen it and shot it, really like it also. No broadheads
into it, I just can't do it. I only shoot a few BH's to see if they're
hitting the mark, so I have a separate target for that. I just don't
want to slice up the cover on this thing!!! Great product!"
Thanks again,

Well for me and my use i can say its been
the BEST target i have ever bought. This
Porta Butt target has easily over 5000 shots into it and
its still stopping the arrows almost like day one. Now for some
input i would really like to see a target with 4 shootable sides.
Im not sure if i can shoot the sides so i dont try to. Ive shot
the front dots so there almost GONE you can barly see the outline
of the red and blue. The back has more broadhead shots but the inside
peels out when i take them out..
